What needed to change
Teams were rebuilding deployment pipelines for each application. Releases were monthly, and manual security reviews came at the end of the cycle. Infrastructure and governance added friction to delivery.
DevSecOps and automation
A shared engineering platform replaced fragmented deployment processes with reusable tools and continuous security checks.

Monthly releases
Separate deployment pipelines
Security review at the end
Daily deployment cadence
Reusable delivery services
Continuous security checks
01 · Challenge
Teams were rebuilding deployment pipelines for each application. Releases were monthly, and manual security reviews came at the end of the cycle. Infrastructure and governance added friction to delivery.
02 · Approach
Six senior engineers built a shared platform supporting a 3,200-employee organization. Security checks moved into the development pipeline. Application teams retained ownership of their products while the platform team maintained reusable infrastructure and deployment services.
03 · Results
For manufacturers maintaining business applications and integrations, repeatable delivery can make improvements easier to release and maintain. Changes to production or operational technology still require a release process suited to the equipment and operating environment.
The team followed a Thinnest Viable Platform approach. Each platform capability had to reduce friction for an application team. Governance focused on delivery outcomes, while infrastructure, security, and deployment services were offered through shared platform capabilities.
