Mission

Kosma Technology is a federal IT engineering practice. We focus on cloud infrastructure that holds up under load, platform delivery that survives integrator turnover, and security architecture grounded in mission requirements; the integration depth that federal IT modernization most often lacks. Every engagement is led personally by the founder, with senior engineering judgment applied from scope to operations.

[ 01 ] CAPABILITY

Two practices. One engineering discipline.

PRACTICE 01

Infrastructure & Systems Engineering

The hardest part of federal cloud is integration: making multi-cloud, Linux, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, Zero Trust, and FinOps work as one engineered system rather than five disconnected products. Kosma's lead practice is integration depth: senior engineering judgment applied from architecture through operations.

  • Azure & AWS GovCloud infrastructure architecture and platform engineering
  • Linux engineering — RHEL, STIG-hardened systems, OS-level tuning
  • Containerization & Orchestration — Kubernetes, OpenShift, DoD Platform One / Big Bang
  • DevSecOps and GitOps — CI/CD implementation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Container security, Threat modeling, Agile practices
  • Zero Trust Architecture — NIST 800-207 alignment, Vulnerability management and remediation, Enterprise security operations
  • Site reliability, observability, and FinOps engineering
PRACTICE 02

Enterprise Platform Delivery

Configure, don't build from scratch. Federal agencies are adopting ServiceNow, Atlassian, and Microsoft platforms at speed, but the integration discipline that makes those platforms work is consistently underbuilt. Kosma delivers configuration as engineering: version-controlled, documented, and modular. The platform outlasts the deployment.

  • ServiceNow — ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, AI Agent Studio
  • Atlassian Government Cloud — Jira, Confluence, JSM, cloud migration
  • Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio agent development

Partner programs: ServiceNow Build Access Tier, Atlassian Solution Partner, Microsoft Cloud Partner Program.

[ 02 ] WHY KOSMA

Quality. Agility. Reliability.

01

Quality.

Most federal IT firms staff from a bench. The senior name on the proposal isn't always the engineer on the contract. Kosma is built to close that gap. Every engagement is delivered by senior engineering. The bar is fixed: enterprise-grade architecture and operational depth across cloud, Linux, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, Zero Trust, and FinOps.

02

Agility.

A pivot becomes a change order. A clarification becomes a meeting. A course correction becomes a quarterly review. Kosma is built to operate without that mediation. The engineer who scoped the work owns the decisions and ships the system. Cycle time on a question is the same morning, not the next quarterly review.

03

Reliability.

Production systems run continuously. Degradation happens quietly. Kosma engineers for sustained operation, not just first-deployment success: zero-downtime cutovers, performance that holds under operational load, and cross-trained continuity from architecture through operations. The discipline behind it is forged where systems failure was not a tolerable outcome.
